mbed ARM Development Boards
mbed - LPC11U24 (Cortex-M0) The mbed microcontrollers are a series of ARM microcontroller development boards designed for rapid prototyping and this is the latest in a line of big things in small packages. Specifically designed for prototyping low cost USB devices and battery powered applications, the mbed NXP LPC11U24 microcontroller is a bite-sized platform for 32-bit ARM® Cortex™-M0 based designs.
mbed - LPC1768 (Cortex-M3) The mbed Microcontroller is made for prototyping, and comes in a 40-pin 0.1" pitch DIP form-factor so it's ideal for experimenting on breadboards, stripboards and PCBs. It supports lots of interfaces including USB, SPI, I2C CAN, ethernet, and serial. And downloading programs is as simple as using a USB Flash Drive. |
Arduino AVR Development Boards
Arduino Ethernet Pro The Ethernet Pro is based on the same hardware as the Ethernet shield (Wiznet W5100) in the same configuration so it is a drop-in replacement for the "Arduino/Ethernet double-stack," and works with all of the existing Ethernet shield libraries and code. This board features the 'Optiboot' bootloader, so be sure to select "Arduino Uno" in the Arduino IDE when you program it. The board can be programmed using either an FTDI Basic or the ATmega8U2 breakout (w/ USB-to-Serial firmware).
Arduino Uno Rev3 The Arduino Uno is a microcontroller board based on the ATmega328. It has 14 digital input/output pins (of which 6 can be used as PWM outputs), 6 analog inputs, a 16 MHz crystal oscillator, a USB connection, a power jack, an ICSP header, and a reset button. It contains everything needed to support the microcontroller; simply connect it to a computer with a USB cable or power it with a AC-to-DC adapter or battery to get started.
Arduino Mega 2560 R3 The Arduino Mega 2560 is a microcontroller board based on the ATmega2560. It has 54 digital input/output pins (of which 14 can be used as PWM outputs), 16 analog inputs, 4 UARTs (hardware serial ports), a 16 MHz crystal oscillator, a USB connection, a power jack, an ICSP header, and a reset button. It contains everything needed to support the microcontroller; simply connect it to a computer with a USB cable or power it with a AC-to-DC adapter or battery to get started.
Arduino Pro Mini 328 - 5V/16MHz It's blue! It's thin (0.8mm)! It's the Arduino Pro Mini! SparkFun's minimal design approach to Arduino. This is a 5V Arduino running the 16MHz bootloader (select 'Arduino Duemilanove w/ 328' within the Arduino software). Arduino Pro Mini does not come with connectors populated so that you can solder in any connector or wire with any orientation you need. We recommend first time Arduino users start with the Duemilanove. It's a great board that will get you up and running quickly. The Arduino Pro series is meant for users that understand the limitations of system voltage (5V), lack of connectors, and USB off board.
LilyPad Arduino 328 Main Board This is LilyPad Arduino - the main board consisting of an ATmega328 with the Arduino bootloader and a minimum number of external components to keep it as small (and as simple) as possible. Board will run from 2V to 5V. The latest version of the LilyPad supports automatic reset for even easier programming. The back side of the LilyPad is now completely flat! We now use a surface mount programming connector to keep the header from poking through.
LilyPad Development Board The ProtoSnap LilyPad Development Board is designed to get you started in the world of e-textiles. Combining a LilyPad Simple Board with other LilyPad components like a buzzer, a vibration motor, an RGB LED, a button, a switch, five LEDs, a light sensor, and a temperature sensor, the ProtoSnap LilyPad Development Board lets you dive right into wearable electronics. When you’ve learned how to program the LilyPad Arduino Simple Board, break apart the components and explore the power of the LilyPad platform. |
Hilfsmittel für Prototyping
Solder Paste - 50g Leaded Solder Paste Stenciling is the easiest and quickest way to solder some of the trickier SMD components. It saves us a lot of time. This is just the right amount of paste for most hobby projects and it even comes in a small reusable container. It does contain some lead, so you wouldn't want to use it in production, but it's just fine for hobby-use or prototyping.
Hemostats - Curved 5" hemostats with a curved tip. We use them to hold wire wrap wire in place when we're 'green wire' fixing a board. A must have for any PCB fixing project. |
IR Remote Control
Infrared Keychain Remote Control The remote does control volume, power, and mute on most of the IR equipment in our office. Unfortunately we can't guarantee that it will work with your 1995 Pioneer 5-disc CD player though. Rather, we are carrying this remote to work with many of the more common IR receiver ICs. |
